Gonzalo Mardones Viviani
Architect from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he graduated with the highest distinction. He received the First Prize at the Bienal de Arquitectura for the best graduation project among all the country’s schools of architecture, for his project on the Urban Renewal of the South-West Center of Santiago.
In 1984, he founded the office Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados together with architect Carlos Mardones Santistevan, a partnership that continued until the year 2000, when he created Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos.
He has been a studio professor of architectural design and has directed graduation projects at the schools of architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Chile, Universidad Central, Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello, Universidad del Desarrollo, and Universidad Finis Terrae; in addition to having been a visiting professor and lectured at various universities both in Chile and abroad.
His work has been published in leading specialized architectural magazines and has been recognized with national and international awards and biennials. In 2008, he received the Career Award from UMSA Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, Bolivia. In 2016, he was named Honorary Fellow of the AIA American Institute of Architects.
He is a member of the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile ICA 4536, of the National Advisory Council of CLAPES UC Centro Latinoamericano de Políticas Económicas y Sociales de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and director of the AOA Asociación de Oficinas de Arquitectos de Chile.
Gonzalo Mardones Falcone
Architect from Universidad Finis Terrae (2003). He joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos as a partner architect in 2005. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He holds an MBA in Real Estate from REBS Real Estate Business School (2023), a Master’s in Artistic, Literary and Cultural Studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2021), and a master in Historia del Arte Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2019).
In addition, he earned a diploma in Teaching for Architecture and Urbanism from the Fundación General de la Universidad de Salamanca (2020), a diploma in Critical and Curatorial Studies from the Universidad del Desarrollo (2015), postgraduate diplomas in Architecture, Art and Design (2005), and in Ephemeral Architecture, Events and Scenic Concepts (2004) from the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya, as well as a diploma in Digital Representation Technologies for Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2004).
He is currently a professor at the Universidad Finis Terrae and was previously a professor at the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello. He is a member of the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile ICA 8593. He is the author of the book “Disociaciones entre el arquitecto y el pintor. La trayectoria de Francisco Méndez Labbé” (Stoq, 2021).
María Jesús Mardones Falcone
Architect from Universidad del Desarrollo (2008). She joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos as a partner architect in 2009. She has worked on projects of diverse uses and scales, specializing in single-family housing.
Luis Morales Gatto
Architect from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1991). He joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1989, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. He currently serves as studio manager and project director. He has worked on projects of diverse uses and scales, coordinating works and specializing in residential complexes and single-family housing.
Manuel Fuentes Ramos
Architect from Universidad del Desarrollo (2000). He joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos in 2005. He was professor of Taller de arquitectura and of the courses CAD and Geometría descriptiva at the Universidad del Desarrollo and at the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello. BIM Manager Certification by Academia BIM Premium (2019). He currently works as project director architect, BIM specialist, 3D modeling and rendering. He is in charge of the competitions and public tenders area. Professional photographer. He was recognized with the Sony WPO Award (2015).
Francisco Valdés Donoso
Architect from Universidad del Desarrollo (2011) and máster en Diseño Sustentable Universidad del Desarrollo (2013). BIM Manager Certification by Academia BIM Premium (2019). He joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos in 2012. He currently serves as project director architect, leading our Miami office since 2020, working on projects of diverse uses and scales in Chile and the United States.
Gonzalo Rudolphy Brito
Architect from Universidad del Desarrollo (2000) and máster en Proyectos de Arquitectura Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (2002). He was part of Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos between 2002 and 2011, rejoining in 2023. He serves as project director architect, specializing in housing and complex projects. He is professor of Architectural Design and research professor at the Universidad del Desarrollo. He is a volunteer firefighter at the 14 Compañía de Bomberos de Santiago.
Claudio Quezada Fuentes
Architect from UNIACC (2004) and technical draftsman from DUOC (1991). BIM Manager Certification by Academia BIM Premium (2019). He joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1991, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. He currently serves as project director architect. He has worked on projects of diverse uses and scales, specializing in single-family housing.
Rodrigo Vega Álvarez
Architect from Universidad Finis Terrae (2009), magíster en Desarrollo e Inversión Inmobiliaria ESE Business School Universidad de los Andes (2025), and diplomado BIM CDC (2010). BIM Manager Certification by Academia BIM Premium (2019). He joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos in 2015. He serves as project director architect, in charge of the regulatory area and complex projects.
Emilio Ursic Marechau
Technical draftsman from ESANE (1988). BIM Manager Certification by Academia BIM Premium (2019). He joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1988, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. He is in charge of the details and internal coordination area and works as a BIM modeler.
Ingrid Court Viviani
Civil engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1986). She joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1998, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. She serves as finance manager.
René López Garcés
Model maker and permit runner. He joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1984, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. He serves as the person responsible for permit processing and as model maker.
Claudia Murúa Guzmán
Secretary. She joined Mardones Arquitectos y Asociados in 1995, later moving to Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos upon its founding in 2000. She is in charge of the administrative area.
Camilo Pereira Cid
Technical administrative assistant. He joined Gonzalo Mardones Arquitectos in 2000. He is in charge of the logistics area.
